Vanessa Wood: commercials, film & music video
Vanessa Wood is a London film editor working across commercials, film, TV, short films, documentary and music videos. She began her career assisting Sam Sneade (Sexy Beast, The Favourite) and Art Jones (30 Days of Night, Hard Candy), and was nominated for Best Editing at the UKMVAs.
Her work includes Hitachi's "Racing To Zero", the world's first zero-carbon commercial shoot, which won a Bronze Arrow at the 2022 British Arrow Awards. It also includes "CAKE", starring Letitia Wright and Maxine Peake, which won Best International Short at the Kinsale Shark Awards, and video wall content for U2's Glastonbury set, directed by Damien Hirst.
She has cut campaigns for Dyson, Ford, Revlon, Iceland, Corona, Oreo, Bloom & Wild, Reuters and the BBC, working with directors and agencies including Ivan Bird, Missing Link, Wieden + Kennedy and BBH.
A background in acting and theatre shapes how she cuts. She listens for performance, pace and comic timing, whether the brief is a thirty-second spot or a short drama.
