About

Vanessa began her editing career assisting Sam Sneade (Sexy Beast, The Favourite, Birth, Guinness Surfer) and Art Jones (30 Days of Night, Hard Candy, Twilight Saga), and was nominated for best editing at the UKMVA’s as a junior editor. Before then, she studied Drama at Hull University, worked in the theatre & was a runner on film & TV sets giving her a unique insight into her future work.

Her award winning work includes the world's first ever zero carbon commercial shoot for Hitachi directed by Ivan Bird & voiced by Oscar Winner Sam Mendes (Skyfall), "CAKE" - shot by Robbie Ryan, starring Letitia Wright (Black Panther) and Maxine Peake (Say Nothing) which won best short film at Kinsale and the London Independent Film Awards, and video walls for U2's legendary Glastonbury set - directed by Damien Hirst.

During her career she’s edited numerous campaigns for household name brands including Zara, Habitat, Sainsbury’s, McDonalds, NatWest, the BBC, Asda, Iceland, Morrisons, Revlon, Tesco and more.

A background in acting & 18 years as a Voice Over Artist have enabled her to develop a keen instinct for performance and timing, making her equally at home editing drama, comedy or more visual musical pieces.

She is keen to work on more long form projects and in the past year has completed a feature documentary and two short films around other commercial work.

She prides herself in her creativity and professionalism, always bringing humour, warmth and creative collaboration to her working relationships with directors, producers, agencies and clients.
